Nikola Jokic Leads Nuggets to Victory

Nikola Jokic had another dominant performance on Sunday night, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 112-97 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series.

Jokic finished with 40 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds, marking his second triple-double of the series. He also had four steals and two blocks.

The Nuggets took a 3-2 lead in the series with the win and can clinch a berth in the Western Conference finals with a victory in Game 6 on Tuesday night in Denver.

The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who had 22 points and 11 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell added 21 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Jokic's brilliance.

The Nuggets jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They led by as many as 20 points in the first half and took a 60-42 lead into the break.

The Timberwolves made a run in the third quarter, but the Nuggets were able to weather the storm and hold on for the win. Jokic was the catalyst for the Nuggets in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points and assisting on two other baskets.

The Nuggets will now have a chance to close out the series on their home court. Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday night at Ball Arena in Denver.
